What must a registrant do in terms of identification as a registrant?

A registrant must identify themselves to the general public as registrant of the college of psychologist of British Columbia at the beginning of a professional relationship, and in any advertisement appearing in any media or form, including in letterhead on business cards and curriculum vitae, etc.

What must a registrant do in terms of accurate representation of credentials?

Answer 2

A registrant must accurately represent, and must not exaggerate their areas of competence, education, training, experience, and professional affiliations to the college, the general public and their colleagues

Question 3

Unless specifically authorized to do so, by the college, a registrant must not hold them self out with what two things?

Answer 3

1) having any specialty designation granted by the college

2) having any specialty qualification, based upon any areas of declare by the registrant for the purpose of registration renewal of registration or otherwise, with the college

What must registrant not do in terms of representation of affiliation?

Answer 4

A registrant must not misrepresented their affiliations with institutions or organizations, or the consequences of such affiliations. I eat they must not offer registration membership or fellowship to the Canadian psychological Association, or the British Columbia psychological Association. They must only represent themselves as a registrant of the college of psychologist of British Columbia.

What must a registrant do in terms of correction of misrepresentation?

A registrant must correct any misrepresentations made by others regarding the registrants credentials, qualifications or affiliations, were regarding the status of a non-registrant, when the registrant knows the individual is not registrant

What seven requirements must a registrant comply with when representing themselves as a registrant, describing their practice, or being named in a group or multi disciplinary practice?

Answer 6

1) the registrants name, and title must be clearly indicated, and where, directed by the college must designate where, applicable that the registrant has restrictions, limitations or conditions on their registration

2) the registration must place immediately before the professional title, only the highest academic degree upon which the registrants registration of the college is based

3) I registered may specify other degrees or professional titles, such as MBA, only if the area of study is relevant to the registrant psychological practice

4) registration may describe themselves as registrant of the college of psychologists of BC

5) unless specifically authorized or required by the college, a registrant must list their title without any modify that suggest a specialty. “practising in”, “practice restricted”, or other introductions the modification of the area of psychological service are acceptable
E.g., Philippa Zakariasen, MEd, R.Psych, Practice in School Psychology (NOT, School Psychologist)

6) applicants for registration or registrants, awaiting the warning of a dream, must not describe themselves as candidate for registration or candidate for degree, respectively

7) I determination of equivalence by an external credentialling agency, must not be represented listed, or otherwise used in a manner to suggest that one has actually obtained that credential
