Scene 12 Flashcards
(Thomas dies)
Thomas Corder’s death was a terrible shock to his family. His mother called her next son home from London. His name was William Corder. From the moment we laid eyes on each other, we were hooked.
Two years later, after hitting with the green umbrella, William Corder pulled this earring out of my ear. He walked across the field to a house and asked if he could borrow a spade. He hit me many times, until I really, definitely, was dead. Then he buried me under the floor of the barn before walking away.
My flesh has rotted away, so much of this will never be known. I am just a guilty collection of clothes and bones. Waiting to be found by someone that loves me.
