We’ve got one emergency door in the middle of the bus, two up in the roof and one up here in the front. But this one is just for me and the captain and for those that paid a little bit extra before….
Above you’ll find the life jackets. And maybe most importantly, put your hands on the chair in front of you so that you don´t fall over. And hold tight to things you love most, like your phones or your kids or whatever.

OCEAN BUS transformed from a bus to a boat and I will explain how this thing works, but first a remainder of what we have around us. Remember that I said that this is royal ground and that the name Djurgården comes from that this was the king’s hunting area. There will soon be a blue gate to your left and that one is a remainder of this. That it used to be gated.

The bus then…in essence we are all sitting in a completely normal VOLVO/MERCEDES lorry that we bought brand new and shipped to the States. There is a man named John and he knows everything about amphibious vehicles…. according to himself. Yeah, this is kind of homemade. He took the lorry chassis, dismounted it, took the parts that he needed and put it together again in this white thing surrounding us, built in aluminum.

Our captain maneuvers Ocean Bus with a joystick that’s connected to a rudder in the end of the bus. There is also a propeller off course that pushes us forward. When we are back on land go around the bus and you can see the rudder and the propeller very clearly.

Estelle förvandlades alltså från buss till båt i ett nafs.
Som jag nämnde på engelska är detta i grunden en helt vanlig VOLVO/MERCEDES lastbil som vi köpte helt ny från fabrik och skeppade över till USA. Där bor en högst udda man vid namn John som kan allt om amfibiefordon enligt honom själv. John tillverkar även husbilar som går i vattnet. Sitter någon här och blir lite småsugen på en sådan säg till mig så ska ni få Johns kontaktuppgifter. John tog sedan allt han behövde från lastbilen och monterade in i det specialbyggda skrov som vi sitter i som är gjort i aluminium.
A common question is what happens to the wheels when we hit the water/ vad händer med hjulen när vi går ner i vattnet? Någon som vet? And the answer is…..? Does anyone know? Nothing / ingenting. They stay exactly as they are. This is so far away from a James Bond car you could ever come. And that (peka på kaptenen) is as far away from James Bond you can ever come.
Kapten kan faktiskt styra genom att svänga på ratten och alltså ändra riktning på framhjulen under vattnet. Använder vi både ratt och roder kan hon nästa svänga runt sin egen axel.
