Nord Mus. + Skansen Flashcards
You can see… (Nordic Museum)
You can see the beautiful Nordic Museum (peka ut var det ligger beroende på var du befinner dig när ni passerar det).
It was finished in 1907. Our king turned 70 not that long ago and then he partied for three days straight. One of the days he was here at the Nordic museum because in there we will find the biggest room in the country - churches excluded.
I said earlier… (Skansen)
I said earlier that Stockholm houses over 100 museums. Many of them you’ll find here on Djurgården, such as the Vasa, Abba, Viking, Nordic, even the Museum of Alcohol, it never ends. Here we also find Skansen, the world’s first open air museum.
Interesting about Skansen - Every year since 1979 a TV-show has been broadcast from there called ”Allsång på Skansen”. What is this, our foreign guests probably are wondering? It’s a sing-along TV-show. As close to a religion you can come in this country. Every Tuesday night, at 8 o’clock we sit at home and sing along with our TV. Nothing strange with that. So, I’ll give you a taste of this phenomenon and play you the intro song to the show. It’s about Stockholm and it’s a tribute to the city and for our foreign guest the captain and I apologize, since our Swedish passengers might start to sing along.
Stockholm i mitt hjärta…
Stockholm i mitt hjärta. (Om du får feeling, få gästernas armar i luften vid refrängen)
Refrängen kan ni, det vet jag. Var inte blyga nu! Okey, foreign guests, swedish guests, don´t leave me hanging up here, put your arms in the air!
Stockholm in my heart, of all the cities I know around the world you are the one that has it all. This is what we just heard.
