Respiratory System Flashcards
What’s the 5 stages of the path of oxygen
Air Enters through the nose or mouth and travels down the trachea. the trachea divide into two tubes called bronchi. The bronchi divide into smaller bronchials .at the end of each bronchial they’re tiny sacs called alveoli
What is the two main functions of the respiratory system
The transport oxygen into the body and transport carbon dioxide and other waste products out of the body. This happens to the act of gaseous exchange
What confrontation or gases move from
Or gases move from a height to a low concentration
Define gaseous exchange in the respiratory system
Exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the alveoli
Define epiglottis
A flap of tissue at the top of the trachea that allows food to go into your stomach and stops it going to your lungs
