What are the parts of the upper respiratory tract?
nasal cavity, nostrils, larynx, oral cavity, pharynx
What are the parts of the lower respiratory tract?
trachea, lungs, right and left bronchi, diaphragm, bronchioles
What occurs if there is too much CO2 in the blood?
it becomes acidic
external respiration
occurs between lungs and blood, oxygen diffuse into RBC, carbon dioxide diffuses from blood
internal respiration
occurs between blood and tissues, carbon dioxide diffuses into blood, oxygen diffuses into RBC

results from deficiency in ADH, results from head trauma, thalamus infections
nephrogenic diabetes
kidneys are unable to respond to ADH hormone, results from renal disease
