A
  • Expels Wind-Heat, releases the exterior, used for wind-heat particularly when affecting the head, eyes and throat. Exterior Wind-Heat presents as fever, cough and particularly headache, red eyes and sore throat.
  • Moves and regulates Liver Qi, used for Liver Qi constraint/stagnation presenting as pressure in chest and flanks, emotional instability, gynaecological complaints (e.g. irregular periods, PMS)
  • Vents rashes, used to promote eruption and alleviates itch. Early stage rashes (wind0heat) presents as eczema, urticaria, rashes with fever, itching, rubella and measles failing to erupt.

  • Clears Lung heat and moistens dryness for Lung Heat or with dryness, manifesting as cough with thick yellow phlegm that is hard to expectorate, dry mouth with thirst.

  • Calms the Liver, extinguishes Wind. Used for Liver Wind, particularly affecting the head. Presents as dizziness, headache and deafness
  • Resolves toxicity, used for toxic sores/swellings, vents rashes. Presents as eczema, burns, purulent sores, boils and allergic skin reactions.
