Foods that address the underlying pathology
Clients should eat a bland diet including foods that subdue wind and address the Liver such as Black sesame seed.
Foods that move qi as well as eggs, crab and buckwheat should be avoided.

- Tongue: thin, white coat
- Pulse: floating and tight pulse

- Liver Yang rising: hypertension, sleep disturbance, irritability, dizziness, vertigo, pounding migraine/headache, visual disturbance, irritability, dizziness, vertigo, pounding migraine/headache, visual disturbance, blurred vision, twitching and spasms in the extremities, numbness, sensation of heat or energy rushing to the head. Red face.

- Presenting as headache, irritability, red eyes, dizziness, hypertension, vertigo, fever
