People with a mental illness take an active role in improving their lives, when communities include people with mental illness, and when mental illness services can enable people with mental illness and their communities and families to interact with eachother.

Empowering the patient within their treatment plan. Making the patients victories feel that much more meaningful because they persevered to make decisions and positive changes from within.
