Why was Lenin a reason for Bolshevik Success?
Lenin had a strong personality and determination. His April Thesis introduced radical thinking to many with simple but effective slogans such as “peace, land and bread”. Lenin also convinced Soviets that it was the correct time for revolution as they couldn’t agree on starting one or not during October 1917.
Why was the Failure of P.G a reason for Bolshevik Success
Kerensky was not able to take strong action as the Kornilov revolt weakened the P.G and made people support the Bolsheviks. They also could not rely on the armed forces to maintain law and order. They lost support from land owners the peasants seized more land.
Why was Trotsky a reason for Bolshevik success?
He organized the Bolshevik takeover with clever tactics which meant that troops would act with little opposition. He was also seen as a hero by most due to his involvement in 1905 revolution and thus increased support. He also was charismatic and drawn many supporters with his brilliant speeches. Trotsky also made it seem like soviets were taking control of Russia
