The Tsar arranged a huge loan from France, which he used to pay forces. This increased the confidence in troops and were willing to defend the Tsar from protestors and stop riots.

A Disunited Opposition
A
The 1905 Revolution consisted of many opponents, who had different ideas and motives. The liberals wanted political reforms, while the workers wanted better working conditions and peasants wanted more land and cheaper food. Unrests were spontaneous and not planned and united.
