Implicit terms
Information based on something not clearly stated. Sometimes not fact, an opinion. Adjectives and adverbs.
Anecdote
A short story they illustrates a concept but is not the main idea
Delineate
Describe precisely
Chronology
Tells WHEN something happened
Sequential
Tells the order of things
Modes of writing
Forms of writing (persuasive, expository, narrative)
Persuasive writing
Intending to make the reader believe in an idea. Writing that convinced the reader.
Expository writing
Writing that informs, tells how to, or teaches.
Narrative writing
Writing that tells a story and often uses sensory details.
