WHAT ARE HEALTH INDICATORS
The European commission aims at producing comparable information on health and health related behaviours of the population, on diseases and health systems.
The 1st set of health indicators was proposed by the ECHI-1 project and widely disseminated.

Available in a timely fashion
Available for most, if not all member states
Selected from reliable sources
