What is Ergonomics?
The study of how well and comfortably people can interact with products and systems.
It is often referred to as ‘human factors’ or the relationship between people and products.
What are examples of Ergonomics?
- Preventing workplace injuries.
- Proper emphasis on posture.
- Reduce the impact of repetitive movements.
What is Anthropometrics
It is the practice of taking human measurements of the human body and provides categorised data that can be used by designers. It is the use of data of people’s sizes, heights, to take in perspective of the possible range of users.

People who are smaller in size (small dons)
What is the 50th percentile
People of average size (average dons)
What is the 95-100th percentile
5 percent of people who are larger in size (NBA dons)
