This study compares the effects of Cover, Copy, and Compare (CCC) and Taped Problems (TP) interventions on improving math fact accuracy and fluency in a student with cognitive challenges
Poncy (2007) Method
A 10-year-old female student with moderate ID was given CCC and TP interventions to improve her single-digit addition fact skills. An adapted alternating treatments design was used with a no-treatment control condition. The student’s accuracy and digits correct per minute were measured using CBM probes
Results of Poncy (2007)
Both CCC and TP interventions led to increases in math fact accuracy and fluency. TP was more effective, taking less time to implement
