Inflammation of plantar aponeurosis

Symptoms
A
> Pain affecting heel
- worse in am or after aggravation
- around medial calcaneal tubercle but can radiate to central heel and achilles also
- Potential to misdiagnose as sinus tarsi syndrome

Test
A
> Palpation of medial calcaneal tubercle whilst adding twisting motion + extending toes (windlass test?)
Discomfort/pain

Risk Factors
A
> Obesity
flat feet or high arches
reduced dorsiflexion
