- unstable fragment osteochondritis dissecans (small segment of bone separates due to lack of blood supply)
Acute osteochondral impaction of bone - results in contour deformity
Collapse of subchondral bone
- subchondral insufficiency fracture (loss of bone density in underlying bone)
- Avascular necrosis
- Bone collapse - uncovering large subchondral cyst
