What is it?
A
> Bone death due to loss of blood supply
> Bone death can then progress to collapse

Femoral head
A
> Blood supply is via neck of femur
fracture can disrupt this blood supply
*(can also be non traumatic due to excessive alcohol or corticosteroids but expect bilateral issues)

Symptoms
A
> Stiffness in the hip
Night pain
limp
Pain in groin/buttocks/front of thigh
