Q

Having pes cavus will

A

Decrease shock absorbing qualities. Soleus will compensate by increasing activity create more stress on Planter Fascia + calcaneal tendon
- bone spurs may form

Q

Symptom picture plantar fasciitis

A

-Unilateral or bilateral
-slow onset, with no history of injury or trauma
-edema
-pain first few steps in the morning
-Pain worse during pre-swing + climbing stairs
- pain lessens after 30 mins of activity, increases 2-3 hours later
-pain felt in calcaneus (heel) may extend to medial border of Plantar Fascia
-pes planus, pes cavus, Achilles tendonitis often present
