A
- secreted oestrogen + progesterone
PROGESTERONE:
- causes uterine muscles + other muscles in body to relax
- LOS–> heartburn
- blood vessels–>hypotension
- maintains endometrium
- raises body temperature (0.5-1)
OESTROGEN:
- causes uterine muscles & ligaments to expand and cervix to soften
- enlarges & prepares breasts for BF
