DEA Numbers
A
specific to individual providers.
first letter indicates type of registrant.
second letter is first letter of prescriber’s name.
Step 1: digits 1,3,5 are added together.
Step 2: digits, 2,4,6 are added together.
Step 3: add digits from step 1 and 2. the last digit will be 7th digit.
