Plaque psoriasis. Reduces scaling & softens.

Corticosteroids-Use
A
Never systemic-> rebound flares. Topical high or ultra high potency ointment. Rarely long term remission

Coal tar- Use
A
Plaque psoriasis- adjunct therapy, cytostatic

Phototherapy- Use
A
Psoriasis affecting large portions of body. UVB 1st line- immunosuppresive. Narrow spectrum does not cause CA.

Methotrexate- Use
A
Severe cases. Long term use associated with cirrhosis. Birth defects

Cyclosporine- Use
A
Effective rapid treatment for severe cases. Only use for 2 years max. Rebound psoriasis
