Basal cell carcinoma- Eti
Most common cancer. Onset >40, males. Skin types 1 & II
Basal cell carcinoma- Sx
Nodular: pearly papule with telangiectasias, well defined & firm
Ulcerating: Crust with rolled pearly border with telangiectasias
Sclerosing: Ill defined patch or superficial scar with peppery pigmentation, finger like extension
Superficial:thin plaques, thread like borders & telangictatsias and scaling
Pigemented: Brown/blue/black, smooth pearly surface, umbilicated cystic
Basal cell carcinoma- DX
Atypical basal cells histologically
Basal cell carcinoma- Tx
Excision with primary closure, flaps or grafts
Bowen disease- Eti
AKA squamous cell carcinoma in situ. UVR or HPV induced lesions. Sun & non-sun exposed areas.
Bowen disease-Sx
Sharply demarcated, scaling surface/ erosion, pink to red macule, papule, or plaque. Bleeds easily

Biopsy-

5-florouracil cream, cryo, excision
Paget disease- Eti
Neoplasm of anogenital and axillary skin. Common with underlying Gu/GI CA. Epidermal extension of underlying apocrine glands

Slowly spreading, itchy lesions- scaling plaque with erosion, crusting. Sharply defined borders

Biopsy
Paget disease- Tx
Surgical removal- Mohs
Squamous cell carcinoma- Eti
Prolonged sun exposure, very common, fair skin and organ transplant recipients
Squamous cell carcinoma- Sx
Ulcerating, small red conical hard nodules
Squamous cell carcinoma- Dx
