3-30% hospitalized patients. Bony promininaces. Immobility is biggest risk factor
Decubitus ulcers- Stages
Stage 1: Nonblanching erythema
Stage 2: Necrosis involving epidermis or dermis
Stage 3: Deep necrosis, crater form ulcer, full thickness skin loss
Stage 4: Full thickness necrosis including supporting structures
Eschar or slough indicates unstageable

Ulcerations over bony prominence. Constitutional symptoms
Decubitus ulcers- - Tx
Prophylaxis,
Stage 1 & 2: topical abx,
Stage 3 & 4: surgical management
Stasis Dermatitis-Eti
SE of chronic venous insufficiency. Anterior shins, calves, feet and ankles most common
Stasis Dermatitis- Sx
Red to brown hyper pigmented macules and patches with pedal edema. May lead to ulceration.
Stasis Dermatitis– Tx
Prevent: compression stockings, elevation . Short term topical glucocorticods
