Personality Disorders
Cluster A: paranoid, schizoid, schizotypal
Cluster B: antisocial, borderline, histrionic, narcissistic
Cluster C: Avoidant, dependent, obsessive-compulsive
Antisocial Personality Disorder
limited capacity for empathy, disregard for what is right and wrong, disregard for the rights of others, childhood diagnosis of conduct disorder, low arousal in response to threats
Borderline Personality Disorder
Instability in mood, interpersonal relationships, and self-concept, difficulties in interpersonal relationships, high risk for self-harm behaviors, depersonalization
Narcissistic Personality Disorder
impairments in self-functioning due to identity, self-direction, which means unreasonable goals and standards based on gaining approval, impairments in interpersonal functioning, and difficulty with empathy for others.
Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder
A preoccupation with order and details that results in the person missing the point of activity, perfectionism that hinders completion, devotion to work and productivity to an extent that is excessive.
Anorexia Nervosa
Starvation or excessive exercise despite being underweight
Bulimia Nervosa
Binging followed by inappropriate compensatory behaviors like vomiting or laxatives
Binge Eating Disorder
Significant binge episodes without any compensatory behavior followed by distress, guilt, or disgust.
