Neurodevelopmental Disorders
Conditions with onset during the developmental period, usually early development.
Autism Spectrum Disorder
Social communication deficits, nonverbal communication, social reciprocity, deficits in understanding relationships.
Restrictive/Repetitive Patterns, motor movements, use of objects or speech, difficulty changing from a routine, highly restricted fixated interests, hyper-hyporeactivity to sensory stimuli
Attention-Deficit Disorder
Inattention 6+ symptoms for younger than 16,15 for 17+, often failing to give close attention to details, trouble holding attention, trouble listening, trouble following trough with tasks, trouble organizing, forgetful
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
Hyperactivity or impulsivity, often fidgets, restlessness, unable to play or leisurely quietly, talks excessively, often interrupts.
Neurotypical
not displaying or characterized by autistic or other neurologically atypical patterns of thought or behavior.
Neurodiverse
having a brain that works differently from the average or “neurotypical” person
