What is a peer review
They judge the scientific quality of research and should enable poor scientific practice, or fraudulent work, to be identified and not published
Why are peer reviews used

What is the process of peer review
● An expert in the same field will be selected, who works for the journal the paper has been submitted to.
● They will read the unpublished paper, looking for any mistakes
● They will say that it can be published, that it needs a review before publication or that it is rejected.
● Usually there are small changes to be made
What are economic implications
It is the effect that something might have on the economic system such as research on taxes and behavioural econ ect
How does psych and econ link in terms of productivity
If mental health is bad, more time taken off work, productivity is lowered, firms are affected, they pay sick days as well, gdp decreases with lowered productivity
