pathophys CAD Flashcards
coronary blood flow variations
can increase up to 4x, reserve depends on radius of lumen
CAD syndromes (4)
chronic stable angina, unstable angina, Nstemi, stemi
basic myocardial ischemia MOA
increase o2 demand plus decreased dilivery
decreased o2 deliver factors
increase resistance to flow, decreased perfusion P, decreased blood oxygen
increased O2 demand factors
arrhythmia (tachy), increased contractility, increased LV stress (dilation), V hypertrophy
low risk ischemia
high workload, small area affective, asymptotic/minimal
high risk ischemia
low workload, symptom, multi vessels, HX of HF/arrythmia
tests for ischemia
stress test, stress perfusion, angiogram
unstable acute coronary syndrome
non peurlitic, central cent pain, at rest, diaphoresis, SOB…
types of acute coronary syndrome
unstable angina, NSTEMI, STEMI
unstable angina
increase in frequency, duration, severity go symptoms , but NORMAL TROP
NSTEMI
not related to thrombosis
STEMI
st elevation, troponin, THROMIS
anterior stemi
LAD, leads I, all, V2-V2
diagnosing and acute MI
cardiac marker+ ischemic symptoms, st change, q waves, imaging
