What is elbow dysplasia?
A
An abnormal development of the elbow joint that can affect one or both front legs.

What causes elbow dysplasia? What breeds are usually affected by the disease?
A
genetic influence, large and giant breed dogs, e.g. Irish Wolfhounds, Great Danes, St. Bernard are usually affected, but some smaller breeds and achondroplastic 軟骨發育不全breeds can also be affected, e.g. Bassett Hound and Dachshund

- stiff
- limited range of movement

- swelling of the joint

A
Massage can be both indicated and contraindicated, depending on the individual dog’s specific condition. Talk with the vet.
