What is Canine Distemper Virus (CDV) 犬瘟熱病毒?
Canine distemper virus is a disease that affects the respiratory, gastrointestinal and central nervous system (spinal cord and the brain) of dogs. It is very contagious,
difficult to treat, and often fatal.
What are the clinical signs of Canine Distemper Virus?
Clinical signs of distemper may be unapparent, but can include ocular, respiratory, gastrointestinal and dermatological and neurologic signs.
Ocular: inflammation and discharge from nose and eyes
Respiratory: cough
Dermatological: skin rash, thickened tissues (nose and feed pads)
Gastrointestinal: vomit, appetite loss, (bloody) diarrhoea
Neurological: seizures, weak
