Paragraaf 3 Flashcards
What are organelles?
Little organs that have several functions inside the cell.
What is a cell membrane?
A soft outer covering that controls what goes into and out of the cell.
What is a cytoplasm?
A gel-like liquid inside the cell where all chemical reactions take place.
What is the nucleus?
The nucleus controls what the cell does.
What is a cell wall?
A second outer covering.
What is a chloroplast?
A cell organelle that makes food inside a plant cell using light. This process is called photosynthesis.
What is a mitochondrion?
A cell organelle that turns food into energy, this is called respiration.
What is a vacuole?
A vacuole stores food, waste products and water.
How many cell types are there?
4
What are all the cell types?
Bacteria cell, fungus cell, animal cell, plant cell.
What is in a bacteria cell?
A cell wall, cell membrane and a cytoplasm.
What is in a fungus cell?
A cell wall, cell membrane, cytoplasm, nucleus, mitochondria and a vacuole.
What is in a animal cell?
Cell membrane, cytoplasm, nucleus and mitochondria
What is in a plant cell?
Cell wall, cell membrane, cytoplasm, nucleus, chloroplasts, mitochondria and a vacuole.
