Why can you taste the difference between chocola, mocha and coffee?
Foods and drinks don’t only contain the five main flavours but also lots of subtle flavours
How are subtle flavours identified?
As saliva mixes with the chemicals in your food and drinks, the odours travel up your growth and into your nasal cavity towards your olfactory cells. The nerve impulses from your taste buds and olfactory cells are combined by your brain.
How was the flavour Unami identified?
