* Mucinous Cystic Neoplasia(MCN)
* Solid Pseudopapillary Neoplasia(SPEN)
True Benign/ Noncancerous
* Pseudocysts
* SerousCysticNeoplasia(SCN)

2
Q
List the malignant cysts of the pancreas
A
– NET: neuroendocrine tumours
– PDAC:
– Mucinous cystadenocarcinomas
3
Q
What is imaging used for in pancreatic tumours
A
Need to determine:
* Communication with main PD
* Size and number of cysts
* Mural nodules
* Other characteristic features
4
Q
Explain Mucinous Cystic Neoplasia
A
- Characterized by estrogen and progesterone receptor positive ovarian-like sub-epithelial stroma
- Classified in benign mucinous cystadenomas, borderline mucinous cystic neoplasms (MCNs), and mucinous cystadenocarcinomas (MCACs).
5
Q
Explain pseudopapillary neoplasia
A
- Occur mostly, but not exclusively, in young women
- The morphology is highly variable with cystic and solid parts.
- Low malignant potential
6
Q
Explain Serous cystic neoplasia
A
- SCN’s 15 to 20 % of cystic neoplasms of the pancreas.
- Approximately 75 % occur in females.
- SCNs of the pancreas are thought to be benign
