Braggard’s Test
Positive if pain. Indicates nerve root lesions, disk herniation, sciatica. Dorsiflexing ankle of extended legs.
Apley Compression Test
Pain indicates injury of either meniscus. Prone w/knee flexed 90degrees. Rotate tibia with compression.
Apley Distraction Test
Distinguishes between meniscal and ligamentous problems of knee joint. same as Compression test but w/o compression. Use traction.
Mc Murray Test
To determine Meniscal tear In Knee.
Anterior Drawer Test
Detects rupture of ACL in Knee.
Posterior Drawer Test
Detects PCL rupture in knee.
Patella Injury can Happen when:
Sudden flexion or fall directly on knee.
ACL Injury can happen when:
Running fast then stopping quickly going forward.
PCL injury can happen when:
Stopping when going backward.
Meniscus injury can happen when:
Jumping and twisting at same time.
Rotator Cuff Muscles (SITS)
Supraspinatus, Infraspinatus, Teres Minor, Subscapularis
Knee ROM
0 degrees extension, 90 degrees foot on floor, 130 degrees flexion (knee behind you.
Elbow ROM
0 Degrees extension, 135 degrees supination, 90 degrees pronation.
Athletes Triad (injuries)
Medial Collateral Ligament, Medial Meniscus, ACL
