They wanted to get revenge from Germany because of the humiliation. They also lost Alsace-Lorraine in the Franco-Purssian War
How was Nationalism effective in the Austro-Hungarian Empire?
it was a dual monarchy, multinational state. Nationalism was a threat to them
How was Balkan state of Serbia effected by Nationalism?
It dreamed of a greater Serbia and wanted access to the Adriatic Sea. They need to gain Bosnia and Herzeogovina but it was ruled by Austria-Hungary, making Austria feel threatened.
how was Imperialism a long term effect of World War I?
New imperialism, people were trying to explain to other lands. France went against Great Britain over the colonization of Africa. Instead of fighting, the formed the entente cordiale which was a step towards the triple entente

Germany’s increasingly power economy which caused fear in other nations

There was naval construction rivalry between Germany and Great Britain. It was headed by Admiral Alfred Von Tirpritz, a naval secretary of Germany

What happened at the Potsdam Consultation?
-Germany ended up giving Austria a blank check regarding Serbia: essentially meant that Germany would back Austria regardless of what they might do. also supported Austro-Hungarian polices against Serbia

Austria gave Serbia and ultimatum which Serbia did not agree with fully because it would compromise its sovereignty
