Q

Why was the boycott of the LA olympics not as significant as the boycott of the Moscow olympics

A

It was only participated in by 15 countries where as the 1980 Moscow olympics had 60 countries

The 1980 boycott had a perceivable better cause/perception as the Soviets invasion of Afghanistan was more of a geopolitical issue whereas the 1984 boycott was more so a way of fighting back which made it have less of an impact
