Around 3 weeks

What are the 4 stages of canine oestrus? (POMA)
Pro-oestrus, oestrus, metoestrus, anoestrus
When does canine mating typically occur?
Day 3-5 of oestrus
What happens during canine metoestrus?
Progesterone dominates. There is pregnancy or pseudopregnancy
How long does canine anoestrus last?
90-150 days
When does feline oestrus start?
6-9 months
What type of ovulation do felines have?
Induced ovulation (via coitus)
How long do unmated queens have between cycles?
14-21 days
What are the stages of feline oestrus?
Pro-oestrus, oestrus, interoestrus (if not pregnant), pregnancy/dioestrus, anoestrus
What happens if a queen does not mate during oestrus?
The queen cycles between pro-oestrus, oestrus and interoestrus until she does mate.
What is dioestrus and how long does it last?
Dioestrus occurs if the queen mates but does not become pregnant. It lasts around 35 days.
When are cats anoestrus?
Cats are seasonally polyoestrus. The ovaries are inactive during the winter.
