- Clotrimazole cream PV once
- Fluconazole PO once
what is Bacterial Vaginosis the most common cause of?
abnormal vaginal discharge
symptoms of Bacterial Vaginosis?
- asymptomatic in 50% of women
- yellowish / grey discharge
- itching
- fishy smell
- may be worse after period / sex
pathogenesis of Bacterial Vaginosis?
often occurs due to an imbalance of bacteria, not due to infection
-this imbalance is often due to a change in pH of the vagina

- increased risk of aquiring HIV
- increased chance of endometritis and premature labour
