disadvantages of international aid
- does not alwaysreach the people it needs to due to corruption
- not always appropritae eg. giving tractors when they can’t afford diesel and dont have the knowledge to maintain
- aid often tied and allows countries to apply political pressure (eg china supplying arms equipment in exchange for Nigeria importing their electrical goods)
- country may become reliant on it
