What are Ebstein’s pearls?
Type of cysts of the jaw found in the mouth
Can also be on the penis
Why do mongolian blue spots need to be documented?
Can be confused with bruise so need to document it to exclude non-accidental injury.

What is Potters syndrome and how will it present?
Renal agenesis
Present with lung hypoplasia as need amniotic fluid to develop lungs

Chromosome 18
A spectrum, some die quickly and some can survive for months
What hand abnormality can be associated with syndromes?
Absent radius (can also occur sporadically)
How does syringomyelia present?
Mermaid syndrome
Fused lower limbs
Sometimes no renal outtract
Spinal muscular atrophy presentation
Loss of motor neurones and progressive muscle wasting
Muscle weakness
Necrotising enterocolitis presentation
Premature Poor feeding Bloating Decreased activity Blood in stool Vomiting of bile Signs of perforation if severe
Meconium ileus presentation
Failure to pass stool or vomiting within first 48 hours
Can see distended bowel loops in abdomen
Might be able to feel meconium plug in one of those loops
