Talk about the progression of symptoms for leiomyoma?
Asymptomatic usually, but if there are symptoms they are AUB, infertility and pelvic mass
How do leiomyosarcomas arise?
De novo
Typical presenting patient with the sarcoma?
Post menopausal women
Gross examination of sarcoma?
Single lesion with necrosis and hemorrhage
3 histo features of sarcoma?
High mitotic cavity, nuclear atypia, and necrosis
What is the most common site of metastasis for sarcoma?
Lung
Why is lung a common site?
Spreads up the uterine vein, back to the heart, and to the lungs.
