Orbicularis Oris
Action: closes lips, protrudes lips as in kissing
Orbicularis Oculi
close eye lids when blinking
Temporalis
attaches to coronoid process of mandible.
elevate mandible when chewing
Frontalis
o Action: elevate the eyebrows
Occipitalis
Trapezius
elevate AND depress the scapula, retract (adduct) the scapula. Also extends the head
Latissimus Dorsi
adduct, extend, and medially rotates the arm (humerus)
Teres Major
extends and medially rotates the arm (humerus)
Teres Minor
Action: lateral rotation of the arm (humerus)
Supraspinatus
Action: abduction of the arm (humerus)
