This broad muscle covers the top of the skull. Consists of 2 parts, the occipitalis and the frontalis
Occipitofrontalis muscles
A broad muscle arising in the temporal cavity and inserting in the mandible
Temporalis
A muscle arising from the zygomatic arch and inserting in the mandible
Masseter
The sphincter muscle that surrounds the eye socket
Orbicularis Oculi
A pyramid shaped muscle of facial expression. Lies beneath the frontalis and orbicularis oculi

Currogator
A muscle of facial expression that runs from the inside of the eye socket to the superior tarsal plate of the eyelid
Levator palpebrae superioris
Covers the bridge of the nose
Procerus
A flat band of muscles in the upper and lower red lips and integumentary lips
Orbicularis oris
Puckering Muscle
Orbicularis oris
Draws the scalp posteriorly and anteriorly, causing eyebrows to raise and wrinkles to form on forehead
Occipitofrontalis
A muscle of mastication and is the strongest chewing muscle. Closes the mandible. Assists in side to side movement of the mandible
Temporalis
A muscle of mastication that closes the mandible
Masseter
Closes the eyelid and compresses the lacrimal sac
Orbicularis Oculi
Draws the eyebrows inferiorly and medially, as in frowning
Currogator
Raises the upper eyelid
Levator palpebrae Superioris
Draws the skin of the forehead inferiorly, causing the transverse and vertical wrinkles in the forehead
Procerus
Closes the lips; compresses lips against teeth. Shapes lips during speech
