Definition of MCI
Any incident that injures enough people to overwhelm resources usually available in a particular area.
The focus of emergency personnel will be to provide limited, life saving interventions and to transport the most seriously injured patients off the scene as quickly as possible.

-Patients will be decontaminated prior to being moved to the Casualty Collection Point
-Casualty Collection Point should be established at the transition between the warm & cold zone.
-Triage & normal MCI operations will begin at the CCP after Decon.

-Evac teams remove patient from structure /warm zone to CCP
-Initial CCP may be in warm zone while awaiting extraction.
-Triage & normla MCi operations begin in the CCP
