Thoracic outlet syndrome symptoms
Impingement between clavicle and first rib
Unilateral, paresthesia, weakness, pain, upper limb
Unilateral, low blood pressure, weak pulses
Signs of both vascular and neurogenic claudication
Cold and pale extremity
Weakness with overhead movements
Thoracic outlet syndrome physical exam
Adson maneuver (palpate radial pulse when patient abduct 45 degrees with neck extended and turned 45 degree to affected side while taking deep breath
Roos test
Morley test
Supraclavicular tenderness
Ottawa knee rule
- pain to patella
- pain to fib head
- can’t flex to 90
- can’t take 4 steps
- > 55yo
Patella pubic percussion test
For hip fracture
Steth on pubic symphisis and percuss patella

The bone bends, but does not break completely 
Distal radius ulnar joint injury
FOOSH, pain over ulna, piano key sign
XR WNL then go to CT
reduce and above elbow splint in supination
Perilunate injuries
FOOSH, then carpal tunnel symptoms
Spilled tea cup on XR
closed reduction with finger traps
Lisfranc injury
Plantar flexion, plantar ecchymosis
XR avulsion second MT base
Posterior back slab, non weight bear, ortho
Quad tear
Can’t extend knee
Zimmer splint
Pelvic fracture
Blood on meatus
Bruising on perineum
Tender ASIS or instability
Pelvic binder and tourniquet
