A
Smoking & Chewing Tobacco

What are some risk factors?
A
smoking, chewing tobacco, rough teeth, dentures, fillings, crowns

What is different if you see oral leukoplakia in an AIDS patient or those with bone marrow transplants?
A
More hairy/fuzzy white pathces - caused by the EBV

What is the best way to Dx this?
A
Biopsy

How do you treat oral leukoplakia?
A
Avoid risk factors! treat quality of surrounding teeth, lesions can be surgically removed.
