What is section 14 of the MOU?
Acting in a higher classification.
When does pay commence when acting in a higher class?
After 2 hours but for the full time.
What rank must you hold to qualify to act in a higher class?
The employee must be permanent in the rank below except that a ff shall be allowed to act as a captain 2
What are the requirements for an MQ actor?
They will be put up if now listed actors are available.
They must meet all the required qualifications, education and experience to participate in the promotional process for the class they are to act in.
They must successfully complete a certification process administered by the DoT before they are allowed to act in the position.
Who sets the duration of a task book and the remedial steps a member must take if they fail an exam?
The city and the rules shall be outlined in the task book GO.
What salary step will you receive when in an acting capacity?
The same as is held in the permanent classification, including longevity pay plan range level held in the permanent class.
What is the difference between short term and long term acting?
Short term is up to but not exceeding 6 weeks duration.
Long term is over 6 weeks.
What will the pay be for a HCBC?
They will be paid at the 56H/ week BC rate of pay.
