1 million women joined the workforce, protested america’s participation, volunteered to serve in non combat positions
how did labor effect war?
mexican and african americans moved to northern industrial cities, union membership increased, many uninionized workers went on strike, workers demanded higher wages
what happened when america won the war?
german and american troops arrived on the front, but german troops were unprepared for american troops
what were some costs of the war?
many lives lost, massive financial losses, and the influenza epidemic
