No foldover or arabesque after 20 weeks; do diagonal or standing (or pretzel for arabesque). Pick a modification that follows same choreo - so for arabesque, do pretzel, fold over, do diagonal
Which takes priority - our sequencing in thigh, or a student’s modification preferences?
A student’s modification. If they want to do chair last, that’s ok (p. 213)
How can students with neck injuries modify curl?
- Use 3-4 risers (in everything except curl)
- Use mini mats
- Don’t curl in KSC/LC/FU, just focus on exhaling
- Sit up frequently to release their neck

HC/B
How can you modify LC/FD for someone with shoulder injuries?
Loop a strap around their thighs

SW - leave a soft bend at elbows
Plank - straight arm hold
KSC - press arms down with palms facing their sides
How should students with mid-back issues modify pretzel?
- Rest non-working side elbow on the floor to keep back straight

Do fold over with a turn out
How should students with mid-back issues modify flat back?
Put a mini mat behind their waist
How should students with spinal fusions modify seat?
They should do whatever’s most doable for them. They typically can’t tuck well due to their limited range of motion
How can students with sensitive hip flexors modify their foot position in curl?
slide their feet more forward
How can students with hip issues modify clam?
Rather than crossing legs all the way, rest top calf on bottom knee
