What is the FABER test? (anacronim)
Flex, abduct, and external rotation
Figure 4 position and press on knee (stabalize hip) + if painful. For SI or hip jt pain.
Quadrant test?
pt supine, knee and hip flexed, hip is abducted and moved through range with pressure into the jt, repeat with hip in abduction. + if pts pain is reproduced.
Signs of labral tear/injury?
clicking or locking
Scour test?
pt supine, knee/hip flexed, pressure put into hip jt and hip moved through ROM. + if pain is reproduced.
Anterior droor test is for? What mm tendons should be next to the dorsal side of your fingers?
ACL, hamstrings. If hams guard, you can feel the tendons tense.
Posterior drawer is for?
PCL, same as ant drawer but push tibia posteriorily. Watch for quads or hams guarding.
Lachman’s test?
For ACL. Pt supine, knee bent to 25-30dg One hand on top of quads area, the other under calf. Pull up with hand on calf.
MCL tests?
Valgus and varus stress tests
TFL test?
Push knee side to side see if lat side has abnormal valgus compared to the otherside.
